Ashwagandha Root Tincture

Ashwagandha,  Withania somnifera, has been used for a long time, thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine. It is known for its adaptogenic properties in promoting a balanced response to stress. 

The leaves of this plant have been eaten due to the nourishment it provides and all parts of the plant utilized widely throughout Asia.

A tincture is substance that contains an herbal medicine in an alcohol solution. The herbs are soaked, shaken, and carefully strained from grain alcohol. This creates a strong solution of the extracted active nutrients from plants to form a concentrated liquid. This solution is then consumed because of its medicinal properties and easily absorbed into the bloodstream.

 Dosage:

• Shake bottle well, open and squeeze the dropper bulb
• 1 droppers full, 2-5X a day
• Release the recommended serving (as per each label) into at least 2 oz of water or juice
• For the best results, repeat this process as directed by the Suggested Use instructions on the product label.
• A single “dropper full” in a standard tincture bottle is around 1 ml, and a teaspoon is 5 ml.
• This tincture can also be taken straight without water. However, it is recommended that you dilute it in 4 - 6 oz of water, tea (iced or hot), or juice.
